This is my place to relate my experiences with cancer treatment, as well as share resources that may be helpful to fellow oral, head, and neck cancer survivors. I was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the left parotid on June 30, 2006. My goal is to continue enjoying the Nebraska Good Life. I call this blog the "Cheeky Librarian", since the cancer was discovered in my cheek, I am a librarian, and many that know me say I fit the slang use of the word 'cheeky'.

Pathway to peace at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha
The weekend before the trip to Seattle found me at the local botanical gardens: https://www.omahabotanicalgardens.org/. For your viewing pleasure, and so you can download the image to your desktop and trick your overworked mind into thinking you too are walking along the path in Omaha, here is one of the photos from that visit. If you are ever in the Omaha area, stop by and check this site out - they have a wonderful garden train display that is outside in the warmer weather, and inside in winter.
Thanks for the picture for my desktop. I've had the same (wonderful) photo of my kids on my desktop since May 2007. If they wonder why they are not there anymore, I can tell them I am going for a walk!
