This is my place to relate my experiences with cancer treatment, as well as share resources that may be helpful to fellow oral, head, and neck cancer survivors. I was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the left parotid on June 30, 2006. My goal is to continue enjoying the Nebraska Good Life. I call this blog the "Cheeky Librarian", since the cancer was discovered in my cheek, I am a librarian, and many that know me say I fit the slang use of the word 'cheeky'.

Benign
Man, that is one great word. Just got my results back from a liver MRI, where they were scoping out the latest lump that has been causing me pain. Turns out that the lump isn't in the liver, but very near it in the muscle, and is a mass, but not cancer. I am calling the end to this scan dance, and going out and breathing the fresh air. The pain - heck, I can deal with the pain. No problemo. Thanks for all of your support 'out there' - it kept me on the right path. Here's to all of us getting the 'benign' designation to our future scan dancing.
Happiest word in the language. Take good care and REALLY ENJOY this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I'll celebrate with ya!
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again - WOO HOO!
Enjoy your week-end!
Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI can add another false alarm to my ever-growing list of people who had worrisome findings that turned out okay after evaluation.
This is why I love the mantra, "I don't have a problem until I have a problem."
Very happy for you.
With hope, Wendy
Glad to hear things are okay!!
