This is my place to relate my experiences with cancer treatment, as well as share resources that may be helpful to fellow oral, head, and neck cancer survivors. I was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the left parotid on June 30, 2006. My goal is to continue enjoying the Nebraska Good Life.
I call this blog the "Cheeky Librarian", since the cancer was discovered in my cheek, I am a librarian, and many that know me say I fit the slang use of the word 'cheeky'.

Cure for Radiation Sickness Found?
That is the title of a news article on Ynet.com News Forum:
Found it first on BoingBoing... Can't find anything else about it, but if it is true, THIS IS AMAZING!! I will be watching the Cleveland BioLabs site ( http://www.cbiolabs.com/) and Google News to see if there is any update/verification.
If you can protect people against radiation, then wouldn't you also protect them against the benefits of therapeudic radiation therapy? Because the radiation scrambles the DNA in cancer cells, right?
OK, so this is a bit creepy somehow.

I wish I'd paid attention in science class.
